How to Install Python 3.6.5 in Windows and Get Pip and Virtualenv
Download
Go to https://www.python.org/downloads/release/python-365/.
Scroll down to the "Files" section.
Click on "Windows x86-64 executable installer". Download will start.
Install
After download is complete, double click the package.
Ensure that you tick the checkbox that says "Add Python 3.6 to PATH". Complete the install.
To test that the installation works, open Command Prompt application and type and press enter:
If it shows this then you are OK:
[MSC v.1900 64 bit (AMD64)] on win32
Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information.

Press CTRL-Z and then press enter to exit python3.
Install Pip
Open Command Prompt application.
type this and press enter:
If you get the following output you are OK:
pip <command> [options]
Commands:
install Install packages.
download Download packages.
uninstall Uninstall packages.
freeze Output installed packages in requirements format.
list List installed packages.
show Show information about installed packages.
check Verify installed packages have compatible dependencies.
search Search PyPI for packages.
wheel Build wheels from your requirements.
hash Compute hashes of package archives.
completion A helper command used for command completion.
help Show help for commands.
General Options:
-h, --help Show help.
--isolated Run pip in an isolated mode, ignoring environment variables and user configuration.
-v, --verbose Give more output. Option is additive, and can be used up to 3 times.
-V, --version Show version and exit.
-q, --quiet Give less output. Option is additive, and can be used up to 3 times (corresponding to
WARNING, ERROR, and CRITICAL logging levels).
--log <path> Path to a verbose appending log.
--proxy <proxy> Specify a proxy in the form [user:passwd@]proxy.server:port.
--retries <retries> Maximum number of retries each connection should attempt (default 5 times).
--timeout <sec> Set the socket timeout (default 15 seconds).
--exists-action <action> Default action when a path already exists: (s)witch, (i)gnore, (w)ipe, (b)ackup,
(a)bort.
--trusted-host <hostname> Mark this host as trusted, even though it does not have valid or any HTTPS.
--cert <path> Path to alternate CA bundle.
--client-cert <path> Path to SSL client certificate, a single file containing the private key and the
certificate in PEM format.
--cache-dir <dir> Store the cache data in <dir>.
--no-cache-dir Disable the cache.
--disable-pip-version-check
Don't periodically check PyPI to determine whether a new version of pip is available for
download. Implied with --no-index.
Install Virtual Env
Open Command Prompt application.
Type and press enter:
It should say something like:

To check that it works, type in Command Prompt application and press enter:
If it shows the following, you are OK.

Options:
--version show program's version number and exit
-h, --help show this help message and exit
-v, --verbose Increase verbosity.
-q, --quiet Decrease verbosity.
-p PYTHON_EXE, --python=PYTHON_EXE
The Python interpreter to use, e.g.,
--python=python3.5 will use the python3.5 interpreter
to create the new environment. The default is the
interpreter that virtualenv was installed with (/Libra
ry/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/3.6/bin/python
3.6)
--clear Clear out the non-root install and start from scratch.
--no-site-packages DEPRECATED. Retained only for backward compatibility.
Not having access to global site-packages is now the
default behavior.
--system-site-packages
Give the virtual environment access to the global
site-packages.
--always-copy Always copy files rather than symlinking.
--relocatable Make an EXISTING virtualenv environment relocatable.
This fixes up scripts and makes all .pth files
relative.
--no-setuptools Do not install setuptools in the new virtualenv.
--no-pip Do not install pip in the new virtualenv.
--no-wheel Do not install wheel in the new virtualenv.
--extra-search-dir=DIR
Directory to look for setuptools/pip distributions in.
This option can be used multiple times.
--download Download preinstalled packages from PyPI.
--no-download, --never-download
Do not download preinstalled packages from PyPI.
--prompt=PROMPT Provides an alternative prompt prefix for this
environment.
--setuptools DEPRECATED. Retained only for backward compatibility.
This option has no effect.
--distribute DEPRECATED. Retained only for backward compatibility.
This option has no effect.
--unzip-setuptools DEPRECATED. Retained only for backward compatibility.
This option has no effect.
